Our story
Resofa started with a simple idea: why throw away a sofa when it feels completely new with a new fabric? From our atelier in Franeker we combine the love of craftsmanship with a passion for giving design a second life.
Resofa is a platform where you can buy and sell second-hand designer furniture, and also visit us for upholstery work through our workshop. On our platform you'll find second-hand furniture offered by private sellers and personally reviewed by us. You can buy a piece directly or place a bid.

Over the years, we've built extensive experience in reupholstering and refurbishing designer furniture. Think of brands like Leolux, Montis, Artifort, Gelderland, Linteloo, Rolf Benz, B&B Italia, Cassina, Design on Stock and Minotti. Each brand requires its own approach — from material selection to the right upholstery technique — and it's precisely that expertise that makes the difference in the final result.

Our atelier
In our 1,500m² atelier on the Ampèrestraat in Franeker, our craftspeople work daily on sofas, chairs and armchairs. With over 1,300 upholsteries per year, we have the experience for consistently high results.
Every piece of furniture is treated with care. We respect the original design, work with high-quality materials and ensure a sleek, durable finish.

In our showroom on the Sexbierumerweg in Franeker you can view part of the Resofa collection in person. Here you'll find refurbished designer furniture reupholstered by Resofa.
A showroom visit is also ideal if you want to experience a piece first. You can try it out, assess the comfort and browse fabrics up close.

Sustainability as our starting point
By giving furniture a second life, together we save raw materials, production energy and waste. In 2025, we've already kept over 180 tons of furniture waste out of the waste stream.
